On 22nd, 23rd, 24th and 25th April, Barcelona’s Raval district will be hosting Forja Viva gathering. Barcelona’s Maritime Museum will be staging an international exhibition of forgework as part of the event. The exhibition has been organised by Tallerdeforja.net and the Blacksmiths Association of Catalonia (AFoC), with the support and involvement of the Museu Marítim in Barcelona, the Museu Cau Ferrat in Sitges and the Museu de la Vida Rural in L’Espluga de Francolí.

Los próximos días 22, 23, 23, 24 y 25 d’abril se celebrarán en el barrio del Raval de Barcelona las Jornadas Internacionales de Forja Viva. Una de las actividades propuestas en el marco de estas Jornadas es la exposición internacional de forja que tendrá lugar en el Museu Marítim de Barcelona. La exposición, organizada por Tallerdeforja.net y la Asociación de Forjadores de Catalunya (AFoC), cuenta con el apoyo y la complicidad del Museu Marítim de Barcelona, el Museu Cau Ferrat de Sitges y el Museu de la Vida Rural de Espluga de Francolí.

Forge demonstrations using different techniques and collective work.
Lectures and discussions held.
Current works will be exhibited together with the 2nd most important collection of forge works in Europe from the“Cau Ferrat Museum”.
Traditional catalan and spanish cultural elements will be present throughout the event live flamenco, “fire dragons” and St Jordi's day celebrations among others.
